Goals for 2016

I promise NO STAR WARS SPOILERS!!!  I know some of you have not seen it.  So have no fear!  This is all about my health and fitness goals for 2016!

I am coming off of that achilles injury.  I'm back to running now!  I did just under 3 miles last night.  And it feels great!!  I had a goal of wanting to do a running event every year in 2016, but I just cannot find something to do in January.  So I will actually kick off my 2016 year in March.

The reason I need to set some goals is because I received an absolutely incredible gift from a friend.  I got entry into every single Maryland running event that Corrigan Sports Enterprises puts on here.  I am blown away that someone would do that for me!  I am humbled to my core.  I will be taking on the infamous King Crab Challenge!

In addition to trying to run something every month, my other goal is working on speed.  The asthma is under control now.  I should not be afraid of having an asthma attack.  I have a nebulizer.  I have my long acting, and I have my rescue inhalers.  NOTHING should stop me from trying to get faster.  I have to get out of my mind.

I think my days of full marathons may be over, but I will also be training for the Disney Marathon in JAN 2017.  We'll see how it goes first.  I may just do the half and the shorter runs.

JAN - nothing

FEB - nothing

MAR - Rock n Roll DC 5K

APR - STAR WARS DARK SIDE 5 and 10K

MAY - Frederick Running Festival Nut Job (5K and Half).  First race of King Crab Challenge

JUN - Baltimore 10 Miler. Second race of King Crab Challenge

JUL - Rock n Roll Chicago 5K and Half

AUG - nothing yet

SEP - Potentially a 5K in Montreal when I'm up there

OCT - Baltimore Running Festival Half Marathon.  Third and final race of King Crab Challenge.  May also do Marine Corps 10K again.

NOV - nothing yet.  Annapolis Half.  Disney Wine and Dine Half.  Not sure what I can do

DEC - nothing yet.  Would LOVE to do Surf n Santa in V Beach.
