Leadership is NOT always easy

It is not always easy being a leader of something.  Whether it is at work, a sports team, or a charity group, not everyone will get along, and not everyone will be nice to one another.  And surely when groups get large, certain people will be drawn to one another based on their own character.  Keeping yourself out of such "cliques" as a leader can be tough, especially if you are of a like-mind with those in your group.

There also comes a time when leaders must lead.  If the people in your group are not doing something nice to others, you might have to step in to help the situation.  Others in the group might even bring issues to your attention that are heavy on their hearts.  As a leader, you need to find a way to ease that heart, and at the same time address with the others that they may have hurt or angered another member.

But at no time should a leader ever tell a member of their group that they don't want to get involved in the difficult situation.  That is the one super easy way for the rope to untie, and to alienate those who once supported you.  Life is about difficult things sometimes.  If you are a leader, then lead.

Don't dismiss those in your group when they bring things to you that are on their hearts.  Don't allow others in the group to mock or carry on with those people who bring things to you.  And for the love of Endor, TALK to your people if they need a talking to! None of this is easy.  But as a leader, it all does start - and end - with you.
