The 500 Festival Miler Series

I am so very excited to be able to run the Mini Indy again this May!  A gracious invitation was extended to me to stay with some friends just a scosche north of Indy.  I had a deferral from 2015 that I have now turned in for a 2016 registration!!  IMS here I come!!

Another thing I noticed on the website is that the 500 Festival has extended the Miler Series training events to those who live out of the area!!! (This may have been going on for years, but I just noticed) The Miler Series is 3 runs, of 3 distances, over 3 weekends, building up to the Mini Indy in May.  You can sign up for one, two, or all three events!  Those who sign up for all 3 at one time will receive The Podium Finisher medal and technical shirt once they complete the 10 miler!  Pictures of the medal have not been released yet, but I am counting on it being Indy 500-related!

The VIRTUAL Miler Series [my own emphasis included] is still the same 3 runs of the same distances, but you have one week to complete your run and submit it to the 500 Festival, or to any of the 500 Festival social media sites.  It fits perfectly into the training plan.  Walk.  Run.  Treadmill. Crawl.  Just use an app or GPS watch, or take a picture of the treadmill readout when you are complete and send that in.

Virtual runners will receive the same technical shirt and finisher medal as local participants for the Podium Finish if they sign up for the Virtual Series!  You have to wait until you are completed with with the final run!  I'm excited to participate in the Virtual Miler Series!

You do NOT have to be registered for the Mini Indy to participate in the Virtual Series and become a Podium Finisher!  It is a separate registration all together.

For all information on the Mini Indy or the Miler Series please check it out at http://www.indymini.com/  Hope to see you out there!!

Question: Have you ever run the Mini Indy?
